Starry Day Trail is a coming-of-age story revolving around Casey and his transitionary period between high school graduation into becoming a responsible adult, and the hardships that accompany him along the way, until eventually learning to accept his new reality and appreciate the small things in life

Casey, the main protagonist, is an introverted soon-to-be college student who unknowingly prepares for a new type of reality that he struggles to adapt to

Katie, a supporting character Casey meets in college, is an academic overachiever whom Casey idolizes, though like him, is also reticent

Scott, Casey’s best friend during high school, is a supporting character who moves away after their graduation. They were considered inseperable during their time at high school

Parker, a co-worker at Casey’s part time job, is a supporting character and friend of Casey who is very eccentric, has a rather “interesting” sense of humor, and likes cats a little too much

Seth is Parker’s friend and is well respected by his peers, considered “the life of the group”, but overworks himself too much and rarely gets to hang out
